The Artwork of Daniel Gregory
L'Atelier Gregory

Portraiture, Still Life, and Landscapes by A Sarasota, Florida Master
Daniel Gregory

Fine art is a matter of balancing contrasts and capturing a moment in time, chasing the light, to find that moment. Daniel Gregory seeks to do that in his oils and watercolors. His renderings and depictions capture the brilliant dichotomy between such contrasts and the beautiful play of light sometimes taken for granted, to forever hold a memory in a stasis that can be remembered and cherished.

A Sarasota, Florida resident, Daniel has sought to establish himself as a premiere artist. In the shortest possible time- three years- he became a signature member of the esteemed Florida Watercolor Society, the largest of its type in the nation, and is also a member of the International Guild of Realism. His work consistently places in competition, has won numerous important awards, obtained numerous corporate contracts, and he was featured in the Fall 2002 issue of Watercolor Magazine. Primarily self-taught, he has also studied abroad with such noted artists as Jack Beal, Sondra Freckleton, and M. Stephen Doherty. He has also taught advanced watercolor technique at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.

He makes his own watercolor colors from Sennelier pigments, having been taught the process by Monsieur Dominic Sennelier at Maison Sennelier in Paris, France, and exclusively uses the finest oils available for generations of longevity: Gamblin and WIlliamsburg.
